Hi from Abby Preston. I’m so excited to be fundraising for Give Kids The World Village to celebrate my becoming a Bat Mitzvah next September. My family and I got to stay at the Give Kids the World Village when I was 4 years old, just after I beat kidney cancer. It was the most magical, wonderful place to be, and I remember how much I loved being there. It was so much fun for me and my sister Hannah. I was able to forget everything I had been through, and just have fun with my family - sleeping late in our little villa, staying up late watching movies, eating ice cream and cake every day, visiting Disney World, and meeting so many Disney characters - and it was all free. Later I found out that the person who started the village was a holocaust survivor named Henri Landwirth, who built the village for children like me, after he came to America. He built the village to give thanks for his success in America after his terrible childhood in a concentration camp. His family still runs the village. I hope to go back and work there some day when I get older.
With your help, Give Kids The World Village can continue to be a magical place for families like mine to stay during their once-in-a-lifetime trip. Please help our team reach our goal by making a donation.
Even the smallest donation helps so much. It would mean the world to us.
