Sometimes, it's worth going big. Just doing something crazy to challenge yourself and to better the world. This one of the crazy "leaps" and when it’s done, I’ll have a fantastic story to tell — 32 stories, to be exact.
On February 9, 2018 I’ll be rappelling down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I’ll descend 428 feet straight down to help make dreams come true for critically ill kids.
It seems crazy, but it’s nothing compared to what the kids at Give Kids The World Village face. Their lives are dominated by hospital stays and medical procedures. They miss out on school activities, sports, and time with friends.
Give Kids The World helps them reclaim that time.
It’s a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando’s world-famous attractions. Children and their families stay at the nonprofit, 84-acre, storybook resort and are treated to weeklong, dream vacations. No child is turned away, and no family ever pays a dime. Last year, Give Kids The World hosted nearly 8,000 families!
The Village matters to me because it creates happiness and hope for children and families who need it most. I can’t think of a better reason to go Over The Edge.
So if you want to see me rappel down a building that is taller than the Statue of Liberty and Big Ben, please help me in supporting this organization and making it possible for them to continue to put smiles on kids' faces. To make a tax-deductible donation, simply scroll up and click on the green box to the right that says "Donate Now."
GIVE $25 or more to share in the moment! You will receive a personal shoutout on social media from the top of the building!
GIVE $75 or more to descend with me! I will pin your name and picture to my clothes so you can go over the edge with me (at least in spirit)! You'll also get a personal shoutout on social media from the top of the building.
Thank you, from me and the kids you’re going to help!
