As you know I am a huge supporter of Give Kids the World and we have just wrapped up on our 5th Annual Stars and Pars weekend where we raised approximately $170,000 for Give Kids the World. With that now complete for 2017 I am taking on something not only personally rewarding but that will also make a big impact at Give Kids the World.
I’m thrilled to be a part of this inaugural event benefiting Give Kids The World Village. When it’s done, I’ll have a fantastic story to tell — 32 stories, to be exact.
On February 9, I’ll be rappelling down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. With other fundraisers, I’ll descend 428 feet straight down to help make dreams come true for critically ill kids.
It seems crazy, but it’s nothing compared to what the kids at Give Kids The World Village face. Their lives are dominated by hospital stays and medical procedures. They miss out on school activities, sports, and time with friends.
Give Kids The World helps them reclaim that time.
It’s a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando’s world-famous attractions. Children and their families stay at the nonprofit, 84-acre, storybook resort and are treated to weeklong, dream vacations. No child is turned away, and no family ever pays a dime. Last year, Give Kids The World hosted nearly 8,000 families!
The Village matters to me because it creates happiness and hope for children and families who need it most. I can’t think of a better reason to go Over The Edge.
But I need your help to raise $1,000 so I can take the walk (off the building). To make a tax-deductible donation, click here. You can also send your contribution to the address below. Any questions, just ask me.
Thank you from me and the kids you’re going to help!
