Thanks for your past generosity when you sponsored us for the 5k run at Give Kids The World Village. Hard to believe it was three years ago that we did some serious fund-raising for the Village!
[About the photo above--At the Village I help our families meet and get photos with characters that come from the theme parks. Here I am working with Dora the Explorer].
As you know, two of my passions are 1) high places (I always need to climb to the nearest high point) and 2) Give Kids Village (where I volunteer each week). Now there's an event combining both, as if designed for me!
I'll be a part of an inaugural event benefiting the Village. When it’s done, I’ll have a fantastic story to tell — 32 stories, to be exact. On February 9, I’ll be rappelling down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. With other fundraisers, I’ll descend 428 feet straight down to help make dreams come true for critically ill kids. [FYI the Hyatt is the 2nd tallest skyscraper in the Orlando area].
Give Kids The World Village is a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando’s world-famous attractions. Children and their families stay at the nonprofit, 84-acre, storybook resort and are treated to weeklong, dream vacations. The Village matters to me because it creates happiness and hope for children and families who need it most. I can’t think of a better reason to go Over The Edge.
But I need your help. To make a tax-deductible donation, click the "Donate Now" button on this web page.
Thanks on behalf of the children and their families!
Your high-flying friend,
