On February 9, I’ll be rappelling down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orlando - 32 stories - 428 feet. Along with the other people crazy enough to join in and with YOUR HELP, we'll make dreams come true for critically ill kids.
The kids who travel to Give Kids The World Village have lives taken over by hospital stays and medical procedures. They miss out on school activities, sports, and time with friends.
Give Kids The World helps the families take a much-needed break.
It’s a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando’s world-famous attractions. Children and their families stay at the nonprofit, 84-acre, storybook resort and are treated to weeklong, dream vacations. No child is turned away, and no family ever pays a dime. Last year, Give Kids The World hosted nearly 8,000 families!
I figure this is the perfect opportunity to prove you don't have to be in your 20s to do something your family, friends, and co-workers think is totally insane, while also helping a truly worthy charity! I've been a supporter of Give Kids The World for several years now and am looking forward (and downward!) to participating in this inaugural event.
I hope you'll help. To make a tax-deductible donation, click the big green "Donate Now" button. Any questions, just ask me.
Thank you from me and the kids and families who will benefit from your generosity!
