On February 14, Mark and I will be rappelling 428 feet (32 Stories) down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel to help make dreams come true for critically ill kids and their families. I need your help in order to make it happen! The required donation amount $1,000, but I would love to reach $2,500.
The Village matters to Mark and I because it creates happiness and hope for children and families when they need it most. All of our Make A Wish kids and their families stay at Give Kids the World when the wish to go to Disney World. Many families say their time at GKTW was even more magical than Disney itself! Two years ago, while on a our own personal family trip, Mark, the kids and I were able to go and take a guided tour of Give Kids the World, to be able to better describe to the wish families where they would be staying....we were absolutley blown away! The website is great, but did not to it justice! We had heard from many of our wish families that they thought that GKTW should be called the happiest place on earth, in fact, many families had plans to go to Disney or one of the many other parks/excursions they are able to do through GKTW, but they decided that they needed to just stay at GKTW for the day. GKTW makes it so special for not only the wish kid, but their siblings and parents. Make A Wish is not the only organization that is able to send families there, there are many other organizations as well. I can’t think of a better reason to go Over The Edge.
Kids who visit Give Kids The World Village face many challenges greater than this. Their lives are filled with hospital stays and medical procedures. They miss out on school activities, sports, and time with friends.Give Kids The World helps them reclaim that time during week-long, cost-free wish vacations.
