WHERE HAPPINESS INSPIRES HOPE!
On Sunday, September 1, I will be coasting for the critically ill kids who visit Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort that provides them cost-free vacations.
Give Kids The World gives these sweet children and their families time away from hospitals, doctors and treatments. For one magical week, the 84-acre, storybook Village becomes a home-away-from-home for wish children visiting Orlando's world famous attractions.
This past year, my daughter, Madison, had to face some huge medical battles and became a wish kid. Make-A-Wish stepped in just at the right time and granted Madison's wish to go to Disney World. We had the amazing opportunity to stay at Give Kids The World Village and it was SIMPLY AMAZING. During our darkest days over this year, Madison's wish provided her with a week where worries simply did not exist. As a wish family who stayed at Give Kids The World in this past year, one thing is for sure-- boy, did it steal our hearts!
Wishes for these kids fighting big battles provides hope and renewed strength. It's a positive distraction to look forward to and pass the tough days. It's an incredible Candyland playground. A 24 hour ice cream parlour--yes, the kids can eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A village that is centered around life sized bunnies, Mayor Clayton and Miss Merry, who can even tuck your children in at night before bed time. It's a wheelchair accessible no entry swimming pool and splash pad and wheelchair accessible rides right on site. A safari movie theater, putt-putt, and The Rockin' Spa. There are parties every night like a Candyland Party, Mermaids and Pirates, Mayor Clayton's Surprise Birthday Party, holiday themed nights, activities and fun by the pool--you name it! The Enchanted Carousel that Madison rode for hours. Horseback riding. The Castle of Miracles is one of the most special-- a child's personal star is placed in a galaxy for the rest of time as a permanent part of Give Kids The World. We've met the most selfless and kind volunteers. We felt normal, loved. Each night when we would return to the village after a long day in a theme park, our car would pull up to the gate and the attendant would say, "Welcome Home!" I cried each time.
This place truly inspires and overall exudes such an indescribable joy. We still get the biggest, warmest smiles even just reminscing about Madison's trip. Give Kids The World is a place I want to donate to and support in any way I can. I only aspire it will continue to touch the lives of many, many more children and their families, as it did mine. It holds the most special place in our hearts!
That’s why I’m Coasting for Kids. I’ll join fellow supporters at Kennywood, as we coast through a day of rides and attractions to celebrate the fun families enjoy at Give Kids The World Village. Please, join my team, Madison Strong, as a fundraiser/rider participant and join us for a day at Kennywood on September 1st, OR make a donation to my page in support of the event. 100% of funds raised will go to Give Kids The World to allow them to continue to do the remarkable, life-changing work that they do.

I can’t thank you enough for helping me reach my goal, and for creating happiness and hope for children who need it the most! XO.
