Tips: Making Your Ice Cream Party a Success
The biggest piece of advice we can give is to have fun. Seriously, the more fun you have, the more everyone feels awesome for making a difference in the life of a child! Here are a few ways how:

Be Creative
Include multiple ways for people to donate at your event such as providing a chance to win, a silent auction, or door prizes! Make your own decorations, use the downloadable items from our website, or request to have items mailed to you during registration.

Use Social Media
Use social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn to spread the word about your event! Use the official hashtags: #IScoopForHope or #WeScoopForHope

Inspired? Create your own special hashtag in addition to our official ones! Don’t forget to post pre, live, and follow-up photos of your awesome event. It feels good to talk about making a difference. Let’s share that with the world!

Go to the Ice Cream
Host your party at a local ice cream shop. Many businesses love being involved in the community and will provide “give back nights” where they donate a portion of the night’s profits towards a cause. Make sure to market the event as much as you can to help bring in more people to benefit your Scoops of Hope fundraising! Join efforts with their marketing team. It takes a Village!

Use a Letter of Support
A Letter of Support will show local businesses that you are allowed to fundraise on our behalf, while also showcasing the business side of your intended efforts. Click here to download your official Letter of Support.

Create Your Personal Fundraising Page
After registration, you will be able to create your personal fundraising page. Do you remember what made you fall in love with Give Kids The World Village? Here’s where you tell your story! If you’re having difficulty finding the words, you’re more than welcome to use the template provided for you.

In your participant center, you’ll be able to send out emails to your contacts asking for their support. We want to help as much as we can with your event, so we’ve provided sample text for you.

Sell Ice Cream Pinups
Another way to get others involved is by selling the ice cream pinups at a local store or business. Click here to download, or, if you’d like, we can send pinups to your home via mail, just let us know in your registration or email us at The pinups campaign can be during the course of a weekend or as a month-long endeavor—your choice! This is also a great addition if you are doing a give back night at a local ice cream parlor.

Accept Donations By Check
Make sure to tell your donors that they can donate by writing a check made payable to Give Kids The World Village. On our behalf, they will receive a tax receipt for their donation.
